9:00 AM - 9:15 AM Welcome to the APP Midwest Regional Roadshow Let's gather, connect, and learn.
9:15 AM - 10:00 AM "Is It a PayFac or a Marketplace? Case Study Gameshow" This interactive session will use real-world cases to help us collectively learn the differences between what is being labeled a 'Payment Facilitator' and what is being called a 'Marketplace'.
10:00 AM - 10:45 AM "Compelling Evidence 3.0 - How Acquirers (and Their Merchants) Can Benefit the Most from this Rule Change" A quick review of what 3.0 encompasses. We dive in and answer: How Acquirers/ISO can benefit from this change? How to aid your merchants in adopting 3.0 successfully? What are the steps to needed to make this work?
10:45 AM - 11:00 AM Donut Break APP was started 26 years ago with the original founders gathering around coffee and donuts to collaborate on common challenges and fraud trends. We keep the tradition alive at every event with donuts for all!
11:00 AM - 11:45 AM PCI DSS 4.0, Merchant Objections and What You Can Do to Help It's been a year. This year is likely the year where budgets will be allocated for new PCI DSS 4.0 controls. Will it be enough? This session will cover some of the biggest issues that merchants will need to adjust for, from big-ticket items that your Level 1-2 population will see to critical, business-altering things your smaller Level 3 and Level 4 merchants will face. You will leave with a good understanding of these top issues and some mitigation strategies you can bring to to the table.
11:45 AM - 1:00 PM Lunch Gather around the proverbial campfire for sandwiches and networking.
1:00 PM - 1:45 PM "Government Relations Updates" This session will provide you with the latest regulatory updates and what regulations may impact payments in the future. Topics to include: Gun Sales, AI and the Impact on Fraud Tools, PCI 4.0, and the FTC Actions Regarding High Risk Merchants.
1:45 PM - 2:30 PM "Third Party Definitions and Impacts on the Payment Ecosystem" As we navigate the payment ecosystem, we learn there are a variety of names for the same type of third-party providers. Similar to driving down streets in various cities, the name of the road may change names or even spelling. This session will provide an overview of the various third-party definitions and discuss the nuisances of each. The goal is to provide a deeper understanding of terminology. This will be a fun interactive session so keep your heads up as Vocab and candy fly about.
2:30 PM - 2:45 PM Break Grab a coffee and start up a conversation with a stranger. Or discuss the eight (8!) competing theories on how Dallas got its name. Or go find Jeff Beene or any person from Fortis and say thank you for hosting the Midwest Regional Roadshow.
2:45 PM - 3:30 PM "It's Good to Be a Fraudster" The presentation is about Bustouts and the latest fraud trends. Bustout fraud has been increasing lately. With economic forecasting predicting a downturn, experts think this type of fraud will only increase. This session will help you prepare your team.
3:30 PM - 4:15 PM Roundtable A rountable discussion with you, the audience, discussing the tougher cases, the trends, and the items discussed during the Regional Roadshow and items you are seeing daily. Ask questions of your peers. Share best practices. Find solutions and friends facing the same dilemmas that you are.
4:15 PM - 5:00 PM Reception hosted by Fortis Time to put away our notebooks, grab a drink, and connect.
