Leadership Transitions at the Association of Payment Professionals

As APP closes out its fiscal year, we're entering our annual cycle of renewal and reflection. This time each year marks an important transition for our Board of Directors as we welcome new members with fresh perspectives and recognize the invaluable service of those whose terms are concluding.

Thank You to Our Outgoing Board Members

We extend our deepest appreciation to Jacinthia Lawson (MVB), concluding her second term as a Board Director. Jacinthia has been the epitome of stewardship in her tenure. Her insight and guiding wisdom have shaped our work in meaningful ways that will endure.
We will also say goodbye to Shari Savlick (Merrick Bank) who will conclude her service as Immediate Past-President. She will continue to support APP as Past President Advisor. During her presidency, APP successfully navigated the challenges of a post-pandemic landscape and emerged as a stronger, growing organization.

Presidential Transition

The Board has selected Domenic (Dom) Cirone (Equifax) as the incoming President-Elect. Dom will serve alongside current President, Aliki Liadis-Hall (US Bank), for one year before ascending to the role of President. Dom has been a long-time volunteer leader with a proven track record in program development, volunteer engagement, and organizational stewardship.

Welcoming Our 2026 Board of Directors

The Board has also selected the following members to serve two-year terms beginning June 1st:

  • Ed Marshall (AGG) – First Term (returning Board member after previously serving)

  • Erin Johnston (Chesapeake Bank) – Second Term

  • James Filomena (Esquire Baank) – First Term

  • Julie Schwartz (BMO) – Second Term

  • Lance Rich (eBizCharge) – Second Term

Erin, Julie, and Lance return with deep institutional knowledge and seasoned leadership. Ed rejoins the Board, bringing valuable governance and policy experience, while James offers new perspectives shaped by his work on the Finance Committee and the Fraud Trends SIG.

Erin and James will contribute their financial expertise to the Finance Committee. Ed’s governance background will strengthen the Governance Committee. Julie will continue to lead the Innovation Management Committee, advancing new programs, and Lance will guide the Outreach Task Force.

Looking Ahead

With a strong blend of continuity and new energy, APP is well-positioned for the year ahead. We remain focused on our mission to safeguard the payments ecosystem through education, community, and leadership.

Here’s to another strong year of progress and partnership at APP!
