MAC Special Election Announcement

Attention MAC Members:

As recently announced in the MAC Dispatch, the MAC Leadership Development Committee will hold a special election this month to fill the role of MAC President-Elect. This special election will occur outside of the routine election cycle. The routine annual election of Board members will commence starting in March.

The deadline to apply for this special election is January 18th at 8 pm EDT. 

As the next President of MAC, the President-Elect is a voting member of the MAC Board of Directors and serves on MAC’s Executive and Governance Committees. This crucial leadership role contributes to guiding MAC’s strategy, providing Governance oversight, and preparing future leaders. The minimum criteria to be considered are the following:

  • 5+ years' experience in the payments industry
  • Consent/support of your company
  • A current MAC member in good standing
  • A passion for change, leadership, and new opportunities to make a difference

This is a great opportunity to shape the future of MAC and influence the evolution of risk management practices and policies in a highly dynamic environment. As an industry-leading group of risk management professionals, we have a unique opportunity to educate and influence our peers and those organizations that govern our businesses. As such, MAC is looking for strategic leaders who have a passion for evolving our industry.

The Leadership and Development Committee will coordinate contact with all applicants during the decision-making process.  Qualified applicants will receive an invitation to participate in a recorded video interview conducted by a Committee-designated representative.  There may be a second interview with some or all of the Committee for this top leadership position.
