A Goodbye Message from the Outgoing APP President, Shari Savlick

Posted By: Shari Savlick APP Dispatch, People News,
Dear APP Members,

Serving as your President over the past two years has been one of the great honors of my professional life. As I step into the role of Immediate Past President, I want to take a moment to reflect on what we’ve accomplished together—and to share my deep optimism about where APP is headed next.

These last two years have brought growth, challenge, and opportunity. We strengthened our governance, expanded our programming, and built new partnerships across the industry. We reimagined our annual conference, introduced new member engagement tools, and brought more transparency and clarity to our operations. Each decision we made was rooted in the same mission that unites us: to serve the professionals who power the payments ecosystem.

None of this progress would have been possible without you. Our volunteer board, committee members, and engaged community members showed up—time and again—with ideas, time, and a shared commitment to our mission. I’m especially proud of how we navigated moments of uncertainty not by pulling back, but by leaning in. That’s the spirit of APP.

While I’ll be stepping back from the President’s seat, I’m not going far. I look forward to serving in the role of Immediate Past President over the next year, continuing to support the Board and our community however I can.

I have every confidence in the capable, thoughtful leadership of our incoming President, Aliki Liadis-Hall. Aliki brings deep experience, steady vision, and a collaborative spirit that’s already made a meaningful difference. I can’t wait to see how APP continues to grow under her guidance.

Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in me. It has truly been a privilege.

With gratitude,
Shari M. Savlick
