Leadership Transitions at the Association of Payment Professionals
As APP closes out its fiscal year, we're entering a season of both reflection and renewal. Each year, this time marks an important transition for our Board of Directors—welcoming fresh perspectives and recognizing the invaluable service of those whose terms are concluding.
Thank You to Our Outgoing Board Members
We extend our deepest appreciation to David Press (Integrity Bankcard), Dinah Suppes (Synovus), Ed Marshall (AGG), and Tony Ogden (BankCardLaw.com), who are concluding their service on the APP Board at the end of May. Their insight, commitment, and guidance have shaped our work in meaningful ways. While their terms as Directors are coming to a close, their impact will endure as they continue to contribute in volunteer capacities across the organization.
Welcoming Our 2025 Board of Directors
Beginning June 1, we’re proud to welcome a dynamic mix of new and returning Board members:
-
Angela Ross (AMPF Consulting Group) – Board Director (Second Term)
-
Tim Miller (U.S. Bank/Elavon) – Board Director (Second Term)
-
Ashley McHugh (Huntington Bank) – Board Director (First Term)
-
Niamh Lewis (G2 Risk Solutions) – Board Director (First Term)
-
Robel Sebany (Shift’d) – Board Director (First Term)
-
Ruben Pizana (Maverick Payments) – Board Director (First Term)
Angela and Tim return with deep institutional knowledge, financial stewardship, and veteran leadership. Ashley, Niamh, Robel, and Ruben bring new perspectives shaped by their active roles on APP committees. Robel will contribute his finance expertise to the Finance Committee, while Niamh’s governance and policy background will enhance our Governance Committee. Ashley and Ruben have both played key roles in member engagement, outreach, and program development—experience that will serve the Board well.
A Presidential Transition
On June 1st, Aliki Liadis-Hall (U.S. Bank/Elavon) will officially assume the role of President, while Shari Savlick (Merrick Bank) transitions to Immediate Past-President. Both leaders embody APP’s commitment to forward-thinking leadership and collaborative growth and we look forward to another year of their Presidential leadership.
Looking Ahead
With a blend of continuity and new energy, APP is well-positioned for the year ahead. We remain focused on our mission—empowering payment professionals through education, community, and leadership.
Here’s to another strong year of progress and partnership at APP!
