Mark Nelson

Mark R. Nelson (Ph.D., MBA, FASAE, CAE) is the Executive Director for the Association of Payment Professionals (APP). With a focus on mission-driven organizations, Mark brings broad experience and deep knowledge of association management to his work, with specialized expertise in evolving governance and how organizations adapt and respond to large-scale change driven by technology. In 2021, Mark was selected as a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives, an honor reserved for less than 1% of association executives worldwide.
