Embracing New Horizons: A Message from APP to Members

2024 will mark a new chapter for the Association of Payment Professionals (APP). Dr. Mark Nelson informed the Board of his decision to step down as APP’s Executive Director on March 15.  We are grateful to Mark for his contributions to APP over the past four years while he served as the first Executive Director in our organization’s 27-year history.  The Board and Mark are working to ensure a smooth transition.  

Over the past four years, we journeyed together through challenges and triumphs. Our collective efforts bore fruit in numerous ways.  Together, we navigated the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, emerging stronger and more united. We used the opportunity to innovate, automate, and recenter ourselves on our mission. We measurably increased the value of APP for members and partners, while maintaining quality and affordability.

In closing, we want to express our deepest appreciation to you, our members, for your support, dedication, and passion as we continue forward. Our shared commitment to a thriving community of payment professionals focused on safeguarding the payment ecosystem remains steadfast. We look forward to seeing many of you at Level Up on March 5-8 in Las Vegas as we witness the continued success of APP and this incredible community.
