Because we are full steam ahead on an exciting year of programming with lots of stuff for our members to discover. 

Highlights

  1. Expect a vote on the budget this month. 
  2. The first Coffee Connect was a giant success. 
  3. There are 17 events scheduled in the future and the Regionals' agendas are almost complete. (a.k.a. The team is ahead of schedule).

Board Notes

  1. Dom Cirone has been selected to be the new Director-at-Large.  
  2. Upcoming Board Schedule:
    June - Votes on a annual budget and PPM updates are expected. 
    July - 90-Minutes - Strategic Framework discussion.

Major Initiatives

New Member Acquisition Task Force

Project Lead:
Lance Rich (B-Dir)

Overview & Scope: 
Acquire 50 new members via direct contacts in FY 2024/25.
Create a new procedure to hand off to a permanent committee.
Targets will be determined by the Task Force with the Board-approved Mission Statement as a guide.

6/15: The Committee is working on a new campaign project focused on highlighting the value of the Fraud Alerts System to coincide with the new membership dues. 

Major Projects:

Create a drip campaign for new members. This is a series of emails that are automatically sent out via Constant Contact using Novi rules.  This is an older doormat project that was picked up. 
The goal is to increase awareness, engagement, and purchases by new members. 

This is currently with Staff to develop and paused at the moment. 

Conference Program

Monthly Webinar Series -

Midwest - 4 of 6 sessions are set

Level Up 25 
The committee has an open call.  A couple of sessions have been tentatively picked so far

Major Projects:

"Ask a Payment Pro"
Proposed series of 30-minute sessions built around a very specific topic. Each session will include a Solution Provider, a Bank, and an ISO/MSP. 

6 Sessions have been scheduled and will start on August 21st. 

Education/M@Cademy

Updates are suspended while IMC and Committee build out a plan for next steps following the Board vote to suspend the project.

Coffee Connect
The first session had to be capped to keep the attendance from being too large. The 30-minute discussion went so well, the attendees asked to have another one that was an hour long. This is a potential SIG.

'Grandparent' Levels
They are working on a plan to create 'grandparent' and 'parent ' organizations to solve the challenge with merging members.

Now that the new vendor has been identified, the next steps will be to create a plan for the next phase.

The RFP for the new learning management software (LMS) is complete. 

LDC

 This committee has completed it annual process. All candidates not selected have had follow-up conversations with Aliki on ways they can contribute. 

SIGs

Bank SIG

6/15: Just had a successful Visa guest speaker.

Fraud SIG 

6/15: Draft is finished on a new "7 Things to Know About..." paper on EBT Fraud. Expected to be published by the end of the month. 

Government Relations SIG

6/15: Recent newsletter on Surcharging had a 1/3rd higher average open rate than other publications. Ellen hosted a webinar to support. There are planned panels for the East and Midwest Regional. And, a SIG webinar in October.
