Job Description:

Role
Inside Sales Representative, Merchant Services

Why work here?
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in sales within the financial technology and payment processing space. You will get hands-on experience owning the full sales cycle, from first outreach to closing deals, while working in a remote environment with a high level of independence.

The company is investing heavily in new technology, including artificial intelligence tools that help generate leads and improve sales performance. This creates real growth potential for sales reps and opens the door to future expansion into larger business accounts.

You will be part of a small, focused team where strong performance is recognized, and there is room to grow your skills and income over time.

Culture
• High autonomy.

• Performance-driven but flexible work environment.

• Fully remote team with communication through Slack and quick team huddles.

• Weekly team meetings, otherwise independent work.

• Focus on accountability, positive attitude, and continuous improvement.

• Leadership emphasizes results without excessive oversight.

• Team is a mix of experienced top performers and newer reps ramping up.

Benefits
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance.

• 401(k) with company match up to $3,500 after vesting.

• 14 business days of paid time off plus holidays and sick time.

The Company
This is a financial services company focused on payment processing technology for businesses across the United States. The company processes over $12 billion in payments each year and supports more than 27,000 businesses.

It provides an all-in-one platform that allows businesses to accept payments in person, online, on mobile devices, and through recurring billing. The system includes tools like invoicing, reporting, customer management, and payment terminals.

The company works with a wide range of industries, including automotive, healthcare, retail, fitness, and professional services. It also partners with software companies and independent sales partners to deliver embedded payment solutions.

The business is evolving toward a more technology-driven model, using artificial intelligence to generate leads and improve the sales process. It owns its payment gateway and works with major processing networks to complete transactions.

The Opportunity
This is a remote inside sales role focused on bringing in new business customers (also called merchants). You will own the entire sales process from start to finish.

You will work a mix of company-provided leads and your own self-generated leads. Early on, there is a stronger focus on outbound prospecting, meaning you will spend a lot of time cold calling and finding new opportunities. Over time, more leads are expected to come from marketing and artificial intelligence tools.

About half of current opportunities come from inbound sources such as marketing campaigns, referrals, and online leads. The other half is self-sourced through outbound outreach.

During ramp-up, you will be expected to close about 2 to 4 deals per month. A sample quota is around $23,000 in new revenue, depending on start date and ramp timing.

Once a deal is closed, separate internal teams handle onboarding, customer support, and retention, so you can stay focused on selling.

Training lasts about three weeks and includes company systems, shadowing experienced team members, and hands-on calling practice.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, research, and outreach.

• Run high-volume outbound call campaigns to engage potential customers.

• Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement.

• Clearly explain pricing, fees, and contract terms to customers.

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.

• Track all sales activity and customer interactions in the CRM system (HubSpot).

• Follow up quickly on new leads and stay organized.

• Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and performance goals.

• Build referral relationships and repeat business opportunities.

• Maintain a professional, honest, and consultative sales approach.

• Follow compliance rules and company guidelines when selling financial services.

• Comfortable using technology and sales tools.

• Self-motivated and disciplined while working remotely.

• Strong time management and ability to work leads quickly.

• Comfortable working toward quotas, goals, and performance metrics.
